5T trip to Jodrell Bank

Lesson: Science

The pupils in Class 5T thoroughly enjoyed their trip last week to Jodrell Bank. The visit was organised to help enhance their current science topic ‘ Earth and Space’. Whilst there they enjoyed two super interactive workshops. The first looked at a series of practical science investigations into life on a planets within our solar system. The second workshop focussed upon knowing about the exploration of Mars using robots. The children were challenged to create a system to drop an egg (pretending to be a space robot) from 1.5m height using a limited amount of materials. Many of the groups managed to successfully land their eggs!
