A new method for addition!

In Year 1, we have learnt another new method to help us solve addition problems. 

This week we looked at solving addition problems by adding the ones first. It was very tricky but we persevered to master it. 
For example, if we had the problem '12+4=' we would add the 2 and 4 first to make 6, and then add on the 10 to find a total of 16. A very efficient method.
