Class 5J - Maths

This week, in maths, Class 5J have been looking at decimals. They started the week by multiplying and dividing decimals (to 2 and 3 decimal places) by 10, 100 and 1000. This skill was then to apply this to converting kg to g, litres to ml, cm to m and vice versa .

Following on from the above activities, the children begun to look at the value of each digit within a decimal number.

The children enjoyed using place value grids, place value counters, dienes equipment to reinforce their understanding.
