Mixed addition and subtraction!

Lesson: Maths

In Year 1 this week, we have been solving some very challenging 2 step problems. We had to read the symbols very carefully to figure out whether we had to add or subtract. We also discussed the change in value at each step of the problem. 
Some of our problems were picture problems and others were represented on a number line. 
 

We worked with our maths partner to solve each problem. Fantastic team work and perseverance shown!
