Class 4J - Roman Chester Trip

Pupils in 4J thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Roman Chester on Friday. The day was packed full of invaluable learning experiences including handling and learning about original Roman artefacts excavated in Chester. The highlight of the trip was the Roman walk to the Amphitheater led by a Roman Centurion. Once the children arrived at the site, the children learnt about Roman fighting and how the legions fought the Celts. Later on, the children had an opportunity to explore two galleries at the Grovesnor Museum where they answered specific questions about the original artefacts housed within each gallery.

The children had a super day and the Centurion commented upon their excellent behaviour. The weather was also super.

A fantastic and memorable day for all!
