Pirate Position!

Lesson: Maths

Today we explored position and direction.  We started by reminding ourselves of our left and right before we moved on to looking at rotatations.  We practised with our bodies by giving each other movement instructions such as a quarter turn, half turn clockwise or anti-clockwise. Then the children were given a pirate's treasure map and were asked to move their teddy to different points on the map, using the new language they had learnt.  Feel free to practise this at home!
