Space!

The children have all thoroughly enjoyed starting our new topic this week: space!

We began the week by thinking about what we know already about space and what we would like to discover and learn about. A lot of ideas and questions were jotted down!

Later in the week we put our artist aprons on and created our own take on space. We used bright, vibrant oil pastels to blend and colour the planets before adding them to our own space background. The sun, stars, rockets and even orbits were also included! The end product was dramatic and they all look really impressive. 

There is a lot of enthusiasm and curiosity about our topic already which, I am sure, will lead to some exciting exploring and investigating!
