The Egg

This week we have started reading The Egg by M.P. Robertson. At the very beginning of the book a little boy named George heads to the chicken coop to collect some eggs and makes a startling discovery. 

Today we took part in group work, including conscience alley and role play to re-enact George’s response to finding a huge golden egg underneath a chicken. 

Everybody got involved in the task and we had some wonderful Georges, chickens, eggs and even some rather unusual props thrown in. Myself and Mrs Smith were thoroughly entertained.
