Year 3 Mardi Gras masks

During their French lessons year 3 have been learning about the oldest Mardi Gras carnival in the world which takes place in Nice. They have enjoyed watching the parades and going behind the scenes of the festival which lasts for 2 weeks before Shrove Tuesday each year. They learnt about the traditions and customs relating to the Nice Carnival and were given a project over half term to create a mask in the style of Mardi Gras. The results have been amazing!
