3D shape problem solving challenge

Lesson: Maths

To end our unit on 2D and 3D shapes the children were set a challenge. The task gave a number of artstraws to use and whether they should be long or short straws. It also outlined how many balls of playdough they could use to make these shapes. The children then had to apply their knowledge to 3D shapes to see if they could create the shape using that number of edges (using the straws) or vertices (using the playdough). They did a fantastic job and showed how much they have learned during this unit! Well done 2H!
