Class 4J - Exploring pitch

This week Class 4J were exploring pitch and how sound is produced and the different factors that affect pitch.

The children were asked to make replica pan pipe instruments using straws. They cut these to different lengths and found out that the longer the straw, the lower the pitch and the shorter the length of the straw, the higher the pitch.
