CLASS 5J -Forces -Air Resistance and Parachutes

The pupils in Class 5J have begun developing their understanding of air resistance and the forces involved. Following some basic facts, the children were given a task in groups to redesign a parachute in order to create the ‘Perfect Parachute’. Each group was given a different design brief which included a different variable. Variables changed including: the shape, the size, the length of the string and the height of the drop. The children used the session to make their parachutes ready for testing!
