Class 5J-Bikeability
Lesson: PSHE and citizenship
Class 5J-Bikeability
Pupils in Year 5 have undertaken their Bikeability Training Programme where they were learning to be safe on their bike when on and off public roads.
The training started with an assessment of each child’s competence on riding a bike, signaling and manoeuvring as well as a check of their bikes.
During the two day’s training, the children learnt how to start off safely from the pavement, signal before moving out, positioning themselves on the road, manoeuvring around parked vehicles as well as turning left and right at junctions.
All of the children worked very hard throughout the intensive sessions, concentrated, listened and improved their confidence and competence and were a credit, as always, to the school!
Well done Class 5J. I hope you had a super two days and remember and apply everything you have been taught to keep yourselves safe on the road!
