Class 5J Trip to Jodrell Bank

The pupils in Class 5J thoroughly enjoyed their trip last week to Jodrell Bank. The visit was organised to help enhance their current science topic ‘ Earth and Space’. Whilst there they enjoyed two super interactive workshops. The first looked at a series of practical science investigations into life on a planets within our solar system. The second workshop focussed upon knowing about the exploration of Mars using robots. The children were challenged to create a system to drop an egg( pretending to be a space robot) from 1.5m height using a limited amount of materials. Many of the groups managed to successfully land their eggs!

A fantastic day and as always the children were a credit to the school!
