Cuboids - The Perfect Paritioners!

Lesson: Maths

In this lesson we were looking at partitioning two digit numbers such as 17 or 45. Cuboids played a game where they had collect multilink based on how many numbers they rolled on a dice. After collecting nine blocks of multilink, these were collected into one block of ten and moved to the tens column. This was to show you can never have more than 9 units in the unit column. The winner was the first person to reach fifty or, as the children were soon able to say, 5 tens.
