D&T week in R1 - Making bread

R1 have been busy making their own bread to help Little Red Hen. They all followed the recipe and helped to mix all the ingredients together before each kneading their own bread dough. Then they added their chosen ingredients on top with cheese being the most popular choice! Whilst the bread was baking the children also made their own butter using glass jars, double cream and marbles, they were amazed that simply shaking the jars could create butter! Finally the children admired their creations and tasted them. They thought about what they would do differently if they made bread again.
