Lesson: Design and technology

After many days of experimentation and designing, 4M have been finally making their light sources. Their task was to design a light source which Guy Fawkes could have used in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament. We have spent time discussing that electricity wasn't discovered until much later in history and that this is a hook for their technology learning. This morning, the children have been working in teams to create a light source which they think would be suitable for Fawkes. Cue lots of junk, lots of glue, lots of paint and lots of patience! But some of our homemade torches look amazing!
