Mustard Sandwiches

This half term our class text is ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. We started the week by reading the story and answering comprehension style questions. We had to answer find it questions (answers found directly in the text) and prove it questions (giving reasons based on the text). One of the questions asked us how we thought the seagulls would have felt when they tried the mustard sandwiches and if we thought they would ever come back to the lighthouse. We thought there was no better way than to try some for ourselves! Surpsingly, some of us enjoyed the sandwiches and couldn’t see why the seagulls made such a fuss about them!
