When Jack and the Beanstalk sprouted up in R2...

This term R2 are learning all about Fairy Tales. We started off our topic by exploring different fairy tales books, discussing which ones we recognised, what characters we knew and if we remembered what happened. We then voted on which story we would like to read most and decided on Jack and The Beanstalk as our first story focus.

For the last two weeks we have been exploring the book of Jack and The Beanstalk. In English we have been learning to act out and retell the story. In Maths we have been making castles out of 3D and 2D shapes as well as measuring beanstalks. We have really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read an alternative version next week.
