Class: 2R Year: 2023 - 2024

2R had the most amazing time at Petty Pool on our residential. When we got there, Dan talked us through what we were doing and we made our beds in our bunkers. We then did a team-building activity where we had to lead our blindfolded partner through the woods. After lunch, we split into groups and did archery, rock climbing and a crate stack. We learnt how to hold the ropes for eachother and how to stay safe. We also learnt that when we think we can't do anymore, we can! In the evening, we served ourselves dinner and then we went on a night walk through the woods. at first, we were scared but then our night-vision kicked in and we could see the path in front of us. We heard owls and saw insects and even a 200 year-old tree! We finished the night with marshamllows around the campfire and hot chocolate in our pyjamas. 

After a lovely sleep, we served ourselves breakfast and made our own sandwiches ready for lunch. We then continued with the activities from yesterday and finished our trip with a visit to the gift shop. We learnt lots of new skills and how to be resilient and responsible. Thank you Petty Pool for a great trip!
