Class 4J - English

During this week, the children in Year 4 began to explore a number of different sentence openers as well as recapping their knowledge of direct speech. This latter session investigated how direct speech can be varied in it's organisation. The children were encouraged to use a suede variety of synonyms for saud as well as beginning to manipulate the position of the main speech clause and the reported clause. The children then went on to record these clauses and punctuate them correctly within their written work.
