Helping Father Christmas in our DT week!

Lesson: Design and technology

Y5 was turned into a Father Christmas workshop this week as we created our very own stuffed toys after learning about Margarete Steiff and her famous stuffed toys.

After designing our toy, we cut out our pattern then joined the pieces using a range of stitches.  

We added apendages such as a beard or a mouse's tail and learnt how to sew on beads to makes noses and eyes.

Some of us also added more decoration using applique techniques.

5H have shown they are once again, responsible and resilient learners.
