New Years Resolutions

Lesson: Communication, Language and Listening

The children were very excited this week to talk about how we, and other countries, celebrate the start of a new year. We looked at lots of images and some videos and discussed what was the same and what was different; we found out that a lot of people all over the world have fireworks, just like us!

After talking about what New Years resolutions are, the children thought of their own one about how they could be even better at school. Some of us wrote about our handwriting or remembering to use capital letters in the right places, and some of us thought about our number work and science or PE skills.
