Sorting 3D shapes

Lesson: Maths

Class: 2F Year: 2023 - 2024

We have been exploring the properties of 3D shapes in Year 2 this week. Today we worked together with our team to count the number of vertices on each 3D shape. We used a very efficient method... blutac! Our challenge was then to group the 3D shapes in a number of ways. For example, shapes with odd number of vertices and shapes with even number of vertices... or shapes with flat faces or curved surfaces. We are really enjoying learning about shape and this lesson was so much fun. Lots of wonderful partner talk and questioning.. we had fun challenging our partner too!
