World Book Day 2020

What a day! 
Our theme this year was 'Julia Donaldson'. Mrs Chapman and I were so impressed with all of the children's costumes - just amazing. Throughout the day, we worked with children across our key stage, exploring different texts written by Julia Donaldson. We focused on up- levelled vocabulary, descriptive language and building sentences to retell the stories. We worked with a partner from another year group to share ideas and help out with spellings and letter formation. 
 

In the afternoon, we visited the fantastic book fair and shared our favourite stories with children from Reception and Year 2. We visited the library too.
