Yahtzee Place Value Game

Class 4J  pupils thoroughly enjoyed their maths sessions this week as they continued to focus upon place value. Earlier in the week, the children had been using the Place Value grids and counters to add tens, hundreds and thousands to a 3/4 or 5 digit number. At the end of the week, they then enjoyed a group game of Place Value Yahtzee. Each child rolled 3/4 or 5 die and had to arrange their digits to fit into one of mathematical statements. Scores were created from each round. This was a super game that all the children thoroughly enjoyed and were engaged in!
