RSE (Relationship and Sex Education)
Relationships Education is compulsory in all primary schools in England.
Thie policy below has been written in accordance with DfE Relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education statutory guidance on relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education 2021.
As a Primary Academy, we are not required to provide sex education but we do need to teach the elements of sex education contained in the science curriculum.
In teaching RSE, we must have regard to guidance issued by the Secretary of State as outlined under Section 80A of the Education Act 2002 and section 403 of the Education Act 1996.
At Lacey Green Primary Academy, we teach RSE as set out in our policy below.
