Miss Rowark
Welcome to R1's class page, I am Miss Rowark and I am very much look forward to teaching a fun, interactive and engaging curriculum this year; whilst getting to see all the children's personalities shine through!
Alongside me I will have the support of Miss Haig, Miss Cobey, Mrs Priest, Miss Gillibrand and Ms Hubbard who are our LSA’s (Learning support assistants), and also Mrs Cook and Mrs Trasler who will at times cover my teaching in class.
In Summer 2 our topic/theme is 'The Ocean’. Some of things we will learn about are...
- Life in ocean habitats
- All about Pirates
- The seaside
- Map work
- Signs of summer
- Similarities and differences between life in this country and life in other countries
- The weather and how it affects the world around us
- Recycling and how to look after the world around us
- Set 1 & 2 Read, Write Inc phonics
Across the year I will update this page with galleries, key information and our learning overviews which will give more information on the learning taking place.
Other key information…
- Our PE day is Friday. Please make sure your child's PE kit is sent in every Monday.
- Please send in a named water bottle each day (NO juice please)
- Please make sure all items of clothing are named
- Homework will be sent out on a Friday and is to be returned on a Wednesday. This may be in a physical book but will at times be electronic homework via Dojo (homework letters are attached below)
- Please read at home each night, or complete phonics videos and handwriting
- If your child is attending an after school sports club please send in non-school uniform sports clothing in a seperate bag on that day
