4B 2024 - 2025
Mrs Bainbridge
Welcome to 4B!
This half term, we are looking forward to another busy, exciting term. We are looking forward to going swimming, celebrating VE day and creating digital music tracks using Garageband.
If you ever have any questions about our learning please get in touch via Dojo.
Reading books
Your child will continue to need support with their reading at home even though they may now read fluently. You can help to make sure they have understood the new vocabulary they are reading and ask them questions about what they have read. Reading books will be changed on Tuesdays and Fridays with library books being changed every other Thursday. All reading counts! Your child should record their reading in their Learning Record and return it to school every day.
PE
PE is on a Wednesday in 4B but it may be easier for your child to keep their kits in school from Monday to Friday. Please note that children doing sports after school should bring in a different kit to wear for these clubs.
Homework
Please encourage your child to complete their homework on time and get into good routines ready for upper Key Stage 2 next year. Your child will recieve 2 pieces of homework in addition to reading regularly and practising times tables. Sometimes this will include a more creative piece of work over two weeks but most homework will be given out on a Friday for the following Tuesday. Spellings will be given on the Monday to learn for a test the following Monday.
I look forward to working with you and your child this year and will update our gallery and the class Dojo with photographs of our learning as the year progresses. As always, if you have any questions please contact me or Miss Britland via our Class Dojo messages.
Thank you
Mrs Bainbridge and Miss Britland
