Our Year 2 journey starts here... 

Welcome to 2F's class page

We've got a very exciting year ahead with lots of wonderful learning, topics, performances and visits... including our Year 2 residential to Petty Pool. My name is Mrs Fesmer and I am delighted to be teaching Year 2 again this year. We've got lots to look forward to, building on our knowledge and learning from Year 1. We also have the wonderful Miss Gillibrand to help us with our learning. 

As mathematicians, we will be exploring numbers to 100 and learning to add and sutract two 2-digit numbers. Our writing this half term will be based around the brilliant book 'A River' written by Marc Martin. As authors, we will plan and write a circular narrative and an informative letter. As readers, we will enjoy and discuss a range of ficiton, non-fiction and poetry and in History, it's all about the Great Fire of London - a favourite topic of mine!

As Scientists, we will learn about materials, properties of materials and the importance of re-cycling. In Personal Development, we will recognise the difference between right and wrong and what is fair and unfair, linking this learning to our British Values.
