The 5R page is where you will be able to find the latest information and updates about what the children have been up to at school.

The children are settling in well, learning their new routines and we are looking forward to an exciting school year ahead!

General Reminders

The children are expected to read for at least 10 minutes per day five times per week minimum. We ask that a parent or guardian signs the Learning Record book, if possible, to acknowledge that reading has taken place.
We will be continuing use Times Table Rock Stars this year as a strong times table knowledge is essential for children to master the Year 5 Maths curriculum. We expect our pupils to log on three times per week and this will be checked on a Friday. Please let us know if there are any log in issues with this system.
We will be sending two pieces of homework home each Friday and we expect both pieces to be completed and handed in the following Tuesday.
As a school, we will now not be doing weekly spelling tests. We will, however, continue to provide a spelling rule or set of words from the Year 5 curriculum each week and will teach these spelling patterns through our spelling lessons. Children are encouraged to continue to learn and practise their spellings at home. These can be found in their Learning Record book.
PE kits should be in school all week from Monday to Friday.
