Class: 1L Year: 2025 - 2026

This week in English, we began an exciting new adventure with our class text, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. To hook us into the story, the children took part in a fun mystery activity, pulling different items out of a bag and using the clues to predict what our new book might be about. There was lots of excitement and fantastic discussion as we shared ideas and made thoughtful guesses before finally revealing the story! Alongside exploring the opening of the book, we also began learning about bossy verbs in preparation for writing our own instructions.
