2F’s trip to Wilmslow Library
Lesson: English
Class: 2F Year: 2025 - 2026
On Monday afternoon, 2F had a wonderful visit to Wilmslow Library. To get there, we walked through Wilmslow Town centre and completed a scavenger hunt/ challenge, ticking off all the local places along our route. We ticked off the church, the park, The River Bollin, banks, shops and of course the Rex Cinema! We had to count all the different types of houses we spotted along the way too. When we arrived at the library we were first greeted by our local librarian. We then spent time enjoying new books by different and familiar authors and we even had a tour of the library. We found the Turing Room, named after a famous local Historian, Alan Turing. We will learn about him in Summer 2. We also saw a picture of what Grove Street looked like in the past.
A huge thank you to all our parent helpers. We couldn't have done it without you!
