Afternoons in Class 4

Afternoons have been very busy in Class 4! Since the children have now been mixed in their classes we have spent time getting to know each other a little better through speaking and listening activities and we are all really enjoying each other's company. We have also used the story of 'The Rainbow Fish' to help us think about friendship and sharing. It has helped the children to come up with a brilliant set of class rules which are now proudly displayed in our classroom. We also explored the emotions of the characters in the book at various parts of the story and did a little bit of drama based on facial expressions. I think you will agree that they were very good at recreating when the rainbow fish was angry, a big departure from our classes' normal smiling faces!  We are very pleased that the story ends happily! Class 4 have made some lovely fish to join our very own Rainbow Fish and have also started to create their topic book covers. The class have also had time to explore the role play post office and have loved being able to post in letters and postcards they have written ready for collection before the end of the day!
