Cress Heads and Caterpillars in R1

Class: R1 Year: 2023 - 2024

We have had a busy start to the first summer half term and have been learning all about plants, seeds and mini-beasts. Here are some of things we have done already...

• Enjoyed reading the stories ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’, ‘The Little Gardener’, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and 'The Enormous Turnip'.
• Had a special delivery of 10 caterpillars!
• Created cress heads using recycled jars and cotton wool.
• Planted bulbs, palnts and seeds outside 
• Created a garden centre role play

We are not even half way through summer 1 yet so we can't wait to see what else sprouts up over the next few weeks...
