Cross Stitch Cushions

The children had a fabulous DT week last week and all should be very proud of themselves. They first spent time researching their designer, Cath Kidston, and investigating the patterns and textiles that she had created. They then went on to design their own Christmas cross stitch pattern and planned the step by step working process. Next was revisiting running stitch that the children learned in Year 2. This proved a bit tricky at times! After that, it was time to learn the cross stitch technique. The children showed great resilience in this and tried so hard to master it. Finally, putting together and evaluating the final cushion. All in a (few) day's work!
