Pasta salads!

Lesson: Design and technology

Class: 2F Year: 2025 - 2026

For DT week this half term, we are making pasta salads. Our learning is inspired by Jaime Oliver. We first researched Jaime and learned lots of interesting facts, including how he struggled with reading at school. However, after lots of perseverance he soon came to love reading and now writes and reads receipe books.

We tasted a range of vegetables and cheeses, ready to design our pasta salads. Mozzarella wasn't a firm favourite but cream cheese was! We then designed our own pasta salads.

Once we had designed our pasta salads, we prepared the different ingredients. We practised using a bridge grip and a claw grip. Some of us had a go at using the grater. Once everything was prepared, it was time to mix and make our pasta salads.

And finally... it was time to enjoy!!

Take a look at our fantastic pasta salads, in the pictures below.
