World Book Day Year 5 and Year 2!

As one of our World Book Day activities, Year 5 chose a well-known poem in their groups and rehearsed it with prosody, actions and voice changes with the mission to make it as engaging as possible to excite our Year 2 listeners. This afternoon, Year 2 came up to listen to them. We had poems such as The Owl and the Pussycat and Not Now Nigel. Year 2 were engaged by the performances and even answered questions about them for a Dojo! After that, Year 2 took the opportunity to read to Year 5 and they worked on their accuracy and intonation with Year 5 supporting their younger partner when needed.
