World Book Day!

Class: R2 Year: 2025 - 2026

Today we had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day! We spent the day exploring stories by the authors Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.

When we came into the classroom this morning, we were very surprised to see lots of frozen vegetables! After reading the story Supertato, we realised that the Evil Pea must have been in our classroom. The children designed posters and created traps to try to catch him. Just like in the story, we even made some jelly to try and trap the Evil Pea! While making the jelly, we practised following instructions, working together and talking about the different steps involved in the process. In the afternoon, we had a special visit from some of the older children who came to read stories with us. They also helped us to make bookmarks and reading masks. What an exciting day!
